Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Dreamweaver. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome Extension and related services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide our service:
- Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information via Google SSO (Firebase Authentication) to manage your subscription tier and usage limits.
- Page Content (On-Demand): When you actively click the Dreamweaver extension icon to generate a summary, we extract the text content of the active webpage. This text is sent securely to our backend for processing by AI models. We do not store this text permanently after the summary is generated.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous analytics data regarding extension usage (e.g., number of summaries generated, error rates) to improve our service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely for the following purposes:
- To generate audio summaries of the articles you request.
- To manage your account, subscription, and usage quotas.
- To improve the performance and reliability of the extension.
- To communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, or support requests.
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers (such as OpenAI/Anthropic for AI processing, Edge-TTS for audio generation, and Stripe for payments) strictly for the purpose of operating our service. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.
5. Security
We implement robust security measures to protect your data. All communication between the extension and our backend occurs over secure HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you wish to exercise these rights or delete your account, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
8. Contact Us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@example.com (replace with your actual support email).
